The Beach Hatchery Limited, an agro farm, will cultivate white fish at Trishal upazila in Mymensingh three years after it closed business in Teknaf.
The company has taken 101-acre land on lease for five years till 2024.
The Beach Hatchery decided in April to cultivate white fish, including Baramudi, Koral, Indian Salmon, as part of expanding its business.
It signed an agreement with Norway based company Aquaoptima and its local agent the Agile Resources.
Listed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange in 2002, Beach Hatchery was not in business since 2016. That is why, the company is on Dhaka Stock Exchange's surveillance.
The agro farm used to do business at Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. But the government acquired their land to construct a marine drive. As a result, the company had to close its business.
The company's shareholders received five percent stock dividend on June 30, 2014. The closing price of the company's share on Wednesday was Tk14.40 at the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
In last one year, the lowest and highest values of the company's share were Tk9.90 and Tk24.20 respectively.
The company has an authorised capital of Tk200 crore. Its paid-up capital is Tk41 crore.
