8 killed as bus rams auto-rickshaw in Habiganj

At least eight people have been killed after a BTRC bus rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
The accident took place at 4.45pm on Monday near Satahail area of Nabiganj upazila of the district, Md Ershadul Haque Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Highway Police Station confirmed The Business Standard about the accident.
The death toll is expected to rise further as the auto-rickshaw was crushed under the bus. Both the vehicles fell on the crop land near the road.

Erasha said the auto-rickshaw is currently under the bus. Eight bodies have been recovered. The death toll could rise further as rescue work is underway.
