Two workers of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) were killed as a human hauler carrying them overturned on road in Pabna's Ishwardi upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Khalek, 33, son of late Ibrahim, resident of Char Damukodia area and Anisur Rahman, 44, son of Ajgar Ali, resident of Paschim Bahirchar area in Bheramara upazila.
Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station, said that the accident took place around 7am as the human hauler (locally named as Nasimon) on the way to RNPP overturned on road in Pakshi Toll Plaza Gol Chattar area of Lalon Shah Bridge, leaving the duo Khalek dead on the spot and Anisur critically injured.
Later, the injured was taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
