G7 not a club hostile to China, Macron says

French President Emmanuel Macron, is also addressing the media. He says the meeting "sped up" the commitment to share Covid-19 vaccines with developing countries.
He said France will double the amount of doses shared to 60 million by the end of the year. He also said Africa, in particular, needs help to increase its capacity to produce vaccines, reports the BBC.
Macron also talked about China, which has been a key topic at the summit. He says the G7 isn't a club that is hostile to China but that they have differences with the Asian nation, citing the issue of forced labour.
China, he said, is an economic competitor that must respect international trade rules.
