Facebook and its other services - Instagram and WhatsApp - all saw a major outage once again, just a couple of weeks after the last one.
DownDetector showed the rare dive that Facebook took with the main site showing an error message, reports Engadget.
Earlier, the Facebook Gaming site was experiencing issues of its own, but the latest issues are "unrelated," according to a tweet from Facebook.
The issue (that also took down Facebook's internal websites, according to a tweet from Jane Manchun Wong) seemed to be resolving itself around 5:53 pm ET. Based on reports, some people could access the websites and apps without an issue again, however, others were still having intermittent issues.
In a tweet at 7:30 pm ET, Facebook said a "configuration change" cut off some of its services, but that everything should be back online now.
