After almost 48 hours, Facebook and Messenger services resumed partially in Bangladesh on Sunday evening.

However, many users are still not getting access with mobile data and some ISPs. Experts hoped the issue will be fixed gradually for all.

Users were facing problems in accessing the social media sites in Bangladesh since Friday afternoon.

Then a Facebook spokesperson said, "We are aware that our services have been restricted in Bangladesh. We are working to understand more and hope to have full access restored as soon as possible."

However, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Vice Chairman Subrata Roy told the media then, "It's a technical problem. We do not know what the specific problem is, but access to the sites has not been blocked."

The problem with the social media giant started here after Islamist groups clashed with cops and ruling party men in some parts of the country in protest against the Bangladesh visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
