E-wallet: Daily transaction limit TK 1 lakh for individuals

The Bangladesh Bank fixed the maximum limit for individual user transactions for E-wallet on Tuesday

Users can deposit and send up to TK 1 lakh daily and a maximum of TK 4 lakh monthly on digital payment platform E-wallet.

The Bangladesh Bank fixed the maximum limit for individual user transactions for E-wallet on Tuesday and issued a circular to chief executive officers of all payment service providers.

E-wallet is a mobile phone app-based digital payment service provider.

Through E-wallet, users can do bank account transaction, pay shopping bills, perform E-commerce transactions and pay bill to other service providers.

There are five E-wallet service providers in Bangladesh -- IT Consultant, SSL COMMERZ, Shurjomukhi, Ipay and D-Money Bangladesh.
