Apple launches iPhone 11 series in Bangladesh

Apple hit the Bangladesh market on Saturday with its new iPhone 11 series featuring A13 Bionic chip, the fastest silicon ever in a smartphone, said a press release.

Compustar PVT Limited (CPL), the only authorised distributor of iPhone in Bangladesh, formally launched three new iPhone lineup – iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max – at a ceremony at its office in Gulshan.

"Keeping parity with the world market of high-end mobile phone set, we launched the new sensation iPhone 11 here as the only proud authorised iPhone distributor of Bangladesh," said Managing Director of Union Group Raquibul Kabir at the launching ceremony.

He urged people to buy the warranty product, saying it benefits the consumer as well as contributes to the national revenue.

Rakib also warned consumers to abstain from traders who sell counterfeit, refurbished or activated iPhones from other countries.

Chief Operating Officer of Generation Next Pte Ltd Riajul Islam, CPL Business Controller Asif Alamgir and Business Manager MD Moniruzzaman were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The iPhone 11 is available with three storage capacities – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and in six different colours including white, black, purple, yellow, green and red. The iPhone 11 will cost Tk87,999.

The storage capacities of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max are 64GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The colours for these two models are silver, space grey, gold and a new midnight green. iPhone 11 Pro will cost Tk1,19,999 while iPhone Pro Max Tk1,39,999.

The three new models will be available at all apple authorised sellers of Bangladesh – Grameen Phone Centers, Gadget & Gear, Mobile World Gulshan, Darpan Telecom, iCenter, Executive Machine, Livewire, iStores and every CPL authorised stores across the country.

The iPhone 11 features an all screen 6.1" while iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max come in 5.8" and 6.5" all screen with Super Retina XDR, the brightest and sharpest display ever introduced in an iPhone, said the release.

The iPhone 11 and 11 Pro perform 20 percent faster compared to the last year's iPhone X while iPhone 11 Pro Max battery life lasts up to five hours longer compared to iPhone Xs Max.

Selfie friendly new wide camera including night mode also comes to the new iPhone 11 lineup with the highest-quality video in any smartphone.
