Windies bundled for a paltry 122, Shakib bags 4 on return

Bangladesh need 123 runs to win the first ODI against the West Indies at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The visitors could manage to play only 32.2 overs, folding for a paltry 122. This is their second-lowest total against Bangladesh. 

Mustafizur Rahman started off brilliantly, swinging the ball both ways and testing the batsmen. He sent back the two openers- Sunil Ambris and Joshua Da Silva before Shakib Al Hasan took over.

Shakib, who is playing his first ODI in 18 months, picked up his first wicket in only his second over when he accounted for Andre McCarthy's dismissal. This was his 150th ODI wicket on home soil. He eventually returned with figures of 7.2-2-8-4. 

Hasan Mahmud enjoyed a fine debut, picking up three wickets. At one stage he was on a hat-trick. Mehidy Hasan Miraz also chipped in with a wicket.

Kyle Mayers top-scored with 40 off 56 balls. Rovman Powell played a useful knock of 28. Apart from that, none of the West Indies batsmen got going as seven of them registered single-digit scores.
