Tamim picked up his triple century off just 407 deliveries to become the second Bangladeshi batsman to score a triple-ton.

Tamim Iqbal had stolen the show on the second day of the 8th Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) when he was unbeaten on 222 at the end of the day's play in Islami Bank East Zone's match against Walton Central Zone.

But the national team opener continued on his merry way as he went on to pick up his first-ever triple century and became the second Bangladeshi to achieve this momentous feat. Raqibul Hasan had scored a triple century 13 years earlier in 2007 when he struck an unbeaten 313 to become the first Bangladeshi to cross the 300-mark.

Tamim picked up his triple century in just 407 deliveries and went to break Raqibul's 13-year old record to stay unbeaten on 334 as his team declared their innings with a healthy 342-run lead.

Nasir Hossain is the third on the list of highest innings as he had scored 295 in the National Cricket League for Rangpur against Barishal. Marshall Ayub and Mosaddek Hossain follow them on the list with innings of 289 and 282.
