Tamim reckons that his team needs to think out of the box to do well.

Tamim Iqbal, who is all set to lead Fortune Barishal in the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup, is not entirely satisfied with the squad and said that the team has made mistakes while forming the team.

The southpaw was not present during the players' draft as he was in Pakistan in order to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

"We have made a few mistakes in the draft. There is no doubt about that," Tamim said after the training session at the Academy Ground in Mirpur.

Despite the mistakes, Tamim wants to rely on his players. "We have to realise that cricket is a game of glorious uncertainty. We have some players whom we are not really counting on. But they can really pull up their socks and come good when it will matter," he added.

Tamim spoke about some players who were not in the spotlight but performed well in the recently concluded BCB President's cup. "There were a couple of players in the President's cup who weren't expected to fire. But at the end of the tournament, they were the talk of the town. I hope that those who are not in the limelight will come good."

Tamim reckons that his team needs to think out of the box to do well. "We have to play differently to do well given our squad. If we can surprise the opponents by doing out of the box things, then we definitely will have a chance."
