Tamim to know what his stomach issues are in next 10 days

Tamim Iqbal has been suffering from pain in his stomach for the last three months.

The left-handed opener visited doctors in the country to find out what the issue was to no avail and went to London on July 25 for more tests.

After various tests for a few days, the ODI captain returned back to the country on Saturday. 

The test reports will take 7-10 days and only then can he know what the issue is and what needs to be done. 

Whether he needs to go under the knife or not and whether he can get it treated in the country or not will depend on these reports.

The stomach pains began three months ago and initially, the 31-year-old player thought that it was a case of food poisoning.

But as things did not get better, and with the pain lasting for up to 12 hours, and in recent weeks, the pain intensified. 

Bangladesh are yet to play international cricket since March with a myriad of tours and matches getting postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As things stand, they could be set to tour Sri Lanka in September and Tamim could be a doubt for the tour.
