Stokes leapfrogged Shakib, who is now at third as Jason Holder holds the top spot.

Ben Stokes’ heroics at Headingley has seen him leapfrog Shakib al Hasan as the World’s No.2 all-rounder in tests with 411 points.

Jason Holder still holds the top spot in the longer version with 433 points and Shakib close at third with 399.

Stokes played a magnificent innings of 135* in the fourth innings of the third Ashes Test to secure a win for England after they were set a target of 359 and were reduced to 286-9. Stokes, along with Jack Leach, took England to victory through a 76-run stand in which Leach only contributed one single run. Stokes also picked up four wickets in the test and hence moved up in the rankings.

His batting excellencies also propelled him into the top 15 of the batting rankings as he now sits 13th on the list with 693 points.

Stokes’ teammate Jofra Archer also jumped to 43 in the bowling rankings with his brilliant performance in the Ashes, after he picked up six wickets at Headingley.

The top five of the batting chart remain the same with Virat Kohli at the top, but Steve Smith is not far behind at second, and the latter has a chance to overtake the Indian skipper in the last two matches of the Ashes.

Indian seamer Jasprit Bumrah moved up nine spots to reach the seventh position after his five-wicket haul against West Indies. New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult made his way into the top five bowlers after his impressive performances against Sri Lanka. Pat Cummins still leads the bowling chart and currently sits on 908 rating points.
