The BCB XI will play a three-day warm-up match against the West Indies in Chattogram before the first Test. With this match, the five cricketers called up in the Test squad will get a chance to immerse themselves for the last time. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given a team of 14 people including these five cricketers for the preparation match.

Though Muminul Haque's name is not included, it is understood that Bangladesh's Test captain will play in the warm-up match. The team is made up of a bunch of young cricketers led by wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan. The match will be held from January 29 to 31 at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.

The five cricketers in the Test squad for the warm-up match are Nurul Hasan Sohan, Saif Hasan, Sadman Islam Anik, Yasir Ali and Khaled Ahmed. There are six young cricketers who won the World Cup in the preparation match.

They are Akbar Ali, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Touhid Hridoy, Shahin Alam, Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Shariful Islam. Besides, Makidul Islam Mugdha, Rishad Hossain and Naeem Sheikh, who have been performing regularly in domestic cricket, have been included in the squad.

Leg spinner Rishad Hossain will be waiting to grab this chance to showcase his magic one more time.

BCB XI: Nurul Hasan Sohan (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Akbar Ali, Touhid Hridoy, Makidul Islam Mugdh, Shahin Alam, Rishad Hossain, Saif Hasan, Sadman Islam Anik, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Shahadat Hossain Dipu, Naeem Sheikh, Shariful Islam and Khaled Ahmed.
