His family source told The Business Standard, "Shakib will reach Dhaka on Monday. The first thing he'll do on return is to undergo the Covid-19 test. It will take some time to get the results. He will stay at his residence in Banani during that period. If the result comes out negative, he will go to the BKSP on September 5 or 6."
Shakib has been in the USA since March to spend time with his expectant wife. As he was under suspension and there wasn't much cricket played, he spent quite a long time with his wife and children.
Bangladesh are supposed to play a three-match Test series against Sri Lanka as part of the World Test Championship. The first Test will begin on October 24. Nazmul Hassan Papon, the president of BCB, assured that Shakib will be playing in the second Test as his suspension will be over by that time.
