Bangladesh batsman Saif Hassan has been ruled out of the Tigers' second Test against India at the Eden Gardens because of split webbing in his hand.

Saif, who is waiting for his debut for the national side, suffered the injury in the first Test when he took the catch of Cheteshwar Pujara after coming on as a substitute.

Saif was called up for the national team for the first time in this tour and he was touted for a debut in the second Test after a lacklustre performance from the openers in the first.

Saif earned his first-ever national team call-up after impressing in domestic circuit.
