Mominul became the joint quickest Bangladeshi to reach 3000 Test runs along with the most Test centuries.

Mominul Islam Sourav, the skipper of the Bangladesh test cricket team, becomes the first Bangladeshi cricketer to reach the milestone of 10 centuries in Test cricket after scoring a wonderful century on Saturday at Chattogram. He has played 41 Tests to reach this milestone.

Mominul has also broken into some Test records with his hundred today.

Mominul made his Test debut for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka in Galle on March 8, 2013 and made an impression in his very first test scoring a half century. Later, Mominul became the fastest bangladeshi batsman to reach 1000 runs in test cricket.

Tamim Iqbal is just behind Mominul in terms of Test centuries with 9. Mushfiqur Rahim has 7 and Mohammad Ashraful has scored 6 in their career so far. Shakib Al Haan is just behind them with 5 Test hundreds.

Apart from this, Mominul became the joint quickest Bangladeshi to reach 3000 Test runs along with the most Test centuries.
He has played 76 innings to reach 3000 Test runs, the same as Tamim Iqbal. Behind them are the likes of Shakib Al Hasan (86 innings), Mushfiqur Rahim (95 innings), Habibul Bashar (97 innings).

Mominul now has 7 centuries at ZACS, Chattogram. This is joint fourth-most hundreds at a single venue. Sri Lankan cricket legend Mahela Jayawardene tops the list with 11 centuries at SSC, Colombo. Mominul has bagged 7 tons at this venue in just 19 innings.
