Nayeem Hasan escapes injury scare ahead of Kolkata Test

Bangladesh right-arm off-spinner Nayeem Hasan escaped an injury scare succumbed during the first practice session of the team at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. 

The spinner got a blow on his head and was sent to the nearby Woodland Hospital. After a CT scan, the Emergency and Critical Care specialist Saptarshi Basu said the cricketer is out of any danger. 

"We have done a CT scan of Nayeem. He is out of danger. He is normal. It was a minor blow on his head. I think it will not create any problem," Dr Basu told the media. 

Bangladesh are gearing up for the 2nd and last Test of the two-match series against India starting on Friday (November 22) at the Eden Gardens here. 

In the first Test of the series, the Tigers endured a big defeat by an innings and 130 runs in Indore. 

Nayeem was overlooked in the first Test. But he might get a chance in the 2nd Test in Kolkata. The right-arm spinner played three Tests till the date and picked up 10 wickets with a best figure of five for 61 runs in an innings.
