The cricketers have all gone home from the airport.

Bangladesh cricket team returned home after the tour of Sri Lanka on a chartered flight at 3.25 pm on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was in doubt about the national team's quarantine policy till Tuesday noon. However, it has been solved.

Although the situation in Corona is not good, cricketers do not have to stay in institutional quarantine.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed the home quarantine of the cricketers in consultation with the concerned authorities.

The cricketers have all gone home from the airport.

Head coach Russell Domingo was supposed to go to South Africa from Sri Lanka.

But the BCB has cancelled his leave. The Proteas coach has also returned to the country with the team.

Cricketers are now having to quarantine almost every month for the past few months.

Bangladesh team was in quarantine for 14 days in the New Zealand tour.

They were confined within their room for the first 7 whole days there.

The cricketers then had to quarantine for 7 days in Sri Lanka tour. Now they have to stay in quarantine even after returning to the country.

The cricketers who were called up for the preliminary ODI squad against Sri Lanka will join the team in practice at the end of the home quarantine.

Bangladesh have started training from May 2 ahead of the one-day series against Sri Lanka at home.

The Lankans are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on May 12 to play a three-match ODI series.

The schedule for the series has not yet been announced.

It is understood that the series may start from May 23.

All the matches are to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
