Finally, Chattogram Challengers have got their skipper Mahmudullah Riyad back.
Mahmudullah had been out with a hamstring injury which he suffered while batting during Bangladesh's second Test against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This injury led to him being out of the first two matches of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2019. In his absence, Carribean allrounder Rayad Emrit had been leading the side.
Chattogram Challengers announced through a press note today that Mahmudullah is cleared to play in their next match. The press note said, "Mahmuduallah Riyad has been declared fit and will be available to play in the next match for Chattogram Challengers. BCB Physio Bayjedul Islam Bayezid has confirmed Chattogram Challengers Captain Mr. Mahmudullah has met all the fitness requirements and fully fit to play."
Mahmudullah will return to the field in Chattogram's third match of the tournament against Rangpur Rangers. Chattogram have won one and lost one in their first two matches.
