Jaker, Tanzim, Naim power Abahani to thumping DPL win over Mohammedan

An economical three-wicket haul from pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib and half-centuries from Jaker Ali and Mohammad Naim propelled Abahani Ltd to an eight-wicket victory over arch-rivals Mohammedan Sporting Club in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Tuesday.

An economical three-wicket haul from pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib and half-centuries from Jaker Ali and Mohammad Naim propelled Abahani Ltd to an eight-wicket victory over arch-rivals Mohammedan Sporting Club in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Tuesday.
Right-arm pacer Tanzim picked up three wickets for 31 runs to limit Mohammedan to 190-9. Mahmudullah was the lone warrior for Mohammedan, scoring 54 off 83 deliveries.
Taskin Ahmed bagged two wickets as well.
In reply, Naim scored a 62-ball-63 to lay a great platform for Abahani. Jaker (78* off 90) smashed six sixes and four fours and finished the chase. Afif Hossain was unbeaten on 39 off 38.
