Sujon said, "I haven't observed the team closely. So I don't really know if there is any infighting. Since I am going with the team this time, I will try to solve the problems if there is any. It's my job to do that."

There has been a lot of media speculation of late regarding the Bangladesh cricket team as influential players revealed few shocking incidents. It has been suggested by many that there is infighting in the team. Khaled Mahmud Sujon, the team manager for the Sri Lanka tour, has said that he will try to fix the problems if there is any.

Sujon said, "I haven't observed the team closely. So I don't really know if there is any infighting. Since I am going with the team this time, I will try to solve the problems if there is any. It's my job to do that."

"Since I am in management, I will not play cricket. If there is any way to support the team, I will," he added.

The former skipper admitted that Shakib Al Hasan's absence will hurt the balance of the side but suggested that the other players are capable of winning matches. He said, "It would've been great if Shakib had been there. But the others are capable of winning. It's not a game of seniors and juniors. Everyone has to take responsibility. They are playing in the team because they are good enough."

Khaled Mahmud Sujon said that it's not the coach only who is to blame. "As far as I know, he is a good coach. We appointed him after a lot of consideration. He is obviously a good coach. It's the players who have to play. The coach can do all the planning. The execution is very important. At the same time, the coach has to plan properly. It's actually difficult to comment without observing closely," he mentioned.

Bangladesh team will fly to Sri Lanka for the two-Test series on April 12. These Tests will be played under the World Test Championship.

The Tigers will play a warm-up match on April 17 and 18.

The two-match Test series will begin on April 21 and the second Test from April 29.

The series was postponed twice in pandemic-struck 2020-first in July and then in October before it was finalized in April this year.
