Gemcon Khulna the most expensive team in Bangabandhu T20 Cup

The 16 cricketers picked by the Khulna-based team will earn a total of 1.14 crore BDT.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is going to arrange a domestic T20 tournament called Bangabandhu T20 cup later this month. Players' draft of the five-team tournament took place on Thursday. Each team picked 16 cricketers and Gemcon Khulna are team spending the highest amount of money.

The 16 cricketers picked by the Khulna-based team will earn a total of 1.14 crore BDT. They have roped in two 'A' grade cricketers in the form of Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad. They will earn 1.5 million BDT each.

Gazi Group Chattogram and Fortune Barishal are not far behind in terms of spending money. Both the teams are spending 1.13 crore BDT while Beximco Dhaka and Minister Group Rajshahi are spending 1.03 crore BDT and 1.02 crore BDT respectively.

Gemcon Khulna: Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Imrul Kayes, Hasan Mahmud, Al-Amin Hossain, Anamul Haque, Shamim Patwary, Ariful Haque, Shoriful Islam, Shuvagata Hom, Shahidul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Zakir Hasan, Nazmul Apu, Salman Hossain, Jahurul Islam.
