Former Sri Lanka sports minister offers to provide ICC more evidence

Former Sports minister of Sri Lankan government, Mahindananda Aluthgamage has remarked that he has offered ICC to provide more evidence showing the 2011 ICC World Cup final was fixed.
Aluthgamage, who is now the state minister for energy and then the sports minister, said this a day after the local police dropped the investigation citing lack of evidence.
Aluthgamage stated that there are powerful people who are spending huge amount of money to manipulate the investigation.
He also informed that he has informed Alex Marshall, anti-corruption chief of ICC, that he is ready to provide more evidence showing that Sri Lanka lost the match deliberately.
But Marshall said that ICC hasn't been presented with enough evidence which would merit launching an investigation.
Sri Lanka police are yet to respond publicly regarding Aluthgamage's remarks.
