Finally some runs for Shakib
In the second intra-squad practice match today, Shakib scored a 52 runs for Mahmudlah XI.
Shakib Al Hasan had been struggling to score runs ever since he returned from his ban. He had a poor run of form in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup especially with the bat. He scored a mere 110 runs from 9 matches at an average of 12.22. But the southpaw has finally got some runs on his bat.
In the second intra-squad practice match today, Shakib scored a 52 runs for Mahmudlah XI. He though faced 82 balls for that. He hit four boundaries and one over boundary during his innings.
Shakib returned to cricket after serving a year-long ban but was struggling to get back to his old form. He practised alone to get better after returning home earlier this month.
Shakib, however, was not that concerned about his poor run of form. He had to stay out of cricket for a full year and he understood he would return to his old form as soon as international cricket begins.
Meanwhile, in the second intra-squad practice match, Mahmudullah XI scored 223 runs from 45 overs losing 7 wickets. Apart from Shakib, opener Naim Sheikh bagged a fifty.
Mahedi Hasan shined for Tamim XI. He picked up 2 wickets from his 9 overs giving away only 31 runs. Saifuddin too picked up a brace, but was pretty expensive.
