FIFA, AFC qualifiers: Bangladesh train hard in Oman
The match will be held at the Seeb Sports Stadium in Al Seeb city of Oman at 9: pm (BST) on the day.
Bangladesh National Football team, now in Oman, had their first training session in Oman's capital Muscat on Tuesday ahead of their away match of the joint qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 against hosts and upper-ranked Oman on November 14.
The match will be held at the Seeb Sports Stadium in Al Seeb city of Oman at 9: pm (BST) on the day.
Bangladesh Head Coach Jamie Day and Captain Jamal Bhuiyan joined the squad in Muscat on Monday.
The Bangladeshi booters practiced with ball possession, ball passing, and ball movements for two hours in their first training session.
Bangladesh Head Coach Jamie Day said, "We have made a good practice session today, boys made a good start in the camp and we will try to continue it in the next couple of days."
Ahead of the match, Bangladesh booters will make a 10-day training camp there that also includes a practice match against a top football club of Oman on November 9.
Bangladesh have been placed in Group E of the AFC Cup with Qatar, Oman, Afghanistan and neighboring India.
The red and green Bangladesh team started their campaign in FIFA and AFC meet with a 0-1 defeat against Afghanistan in the 1st match in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe on September 10, conceded a 0-2 goals defeat against Asian champions Qatar in the 2nd match in Dhaka on October 10 and played to a 1-1 draw against India in their 3rd match in Kolkata on October 15.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will play Afghanistan on March 26 next year in Bangladesh, Qatar on March 31 in Qatar, India on June 4 in Bangladesh and Oman on June 9 in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh are ranked 184th in the FIFA rankings and 38th in the AFC while Oman are ranked 84th in FIFA and 11th in AFC respectively.
