Matthijs de Ligt is likely to reject Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City to sign for Juventus this summer.

Matthijs de Ligt is set to join Juventus this summer, as he will reject Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City to sign for the Old Lady.

The most sought after talent of this transfer market is set to make a decision, as multiple sources confirm that he will be joining Juventus and has already agreed on personal terms with the Italian giants. Juventus will now have to negotiate with Ajax about the transfer fee, which is likely to be around 70 million.

For a long time, Barcelona were the frontrunners for de Ligt’s signature as they had already fixed a deal with Ajax. But the Catalonian side refused to agree with his astronomical wage demands as they already have a fragile wage structure. PSG were the next on line as they were ready to pay him a humongous yearly salary of 20 million Euros. But it looks like the dutch prodigy has taken notice of how superstars like Neymar has failed to catch the spotlight from Ligue 1.

A recent interview of de Ligt in which he claimed that he always wanted to be Ronaldo in his childhood has already strengthened the rumor, and it now looks just a matter of time before Juventus strike a deal with Ajax and make this brilliant young defender theirs.

Juventus have already signed Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal for free, and they are close to signing Adrien Rabiot in a free transfer. They are also likely to bring back their legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon from PSG, and with de Ligt, they will have one of the strongest side in Europe.
