He said Bangladesh has made significant progress in test cricket and its reflection will be visible very soon.

When Bangladesh cricket team is facing widespread criticism for being whitewashed by West Indies in the recently finished test series, the top all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has extended his support to the members of Bangladesh test team.

He said Bangladesh has made significant progress in test cricket and its reflection will be visible very soon.

Shakib also mentioned that win and defeat are parts of every game, not only cricket. So there is nothing to worry.

"Defeat is not desirable. But there will be victory and defeat in any game. There is nothing to think about it. And it is not true that we haven't improved. So many things have improved," he said.

He came up with the remarks at an online campaign of a private organization named 'Friendship.' Recently, he joined the organization as its goodwill ambassador.

Shakib was ruled out of the second Test due to a strain on his left thigh during the first Test at Chattogram. His bowling was badly missed in the fourth innings of that match where Windies snatched away the victory on the final day.

Shakib will also skip the upcoming New Zealand tour to be with his wife who is expecting their third child.
