Brathwaite praises Rishad for his consistent bowling display

BCB XI bundled Windies XI out for 257 on the first day of three-day warm-up match at Chattogram today. Windies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite struck 85 but the rest of the visitors' batsmen struggled against the BCB XI bowlers. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain bagged 5 wickets accompanied by Khaled Ahmed's 3.

His first scalp was Shayne Moseley. He then went on to pick Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Alzarri Joseph and Shannon Gabriel.
Windies skipper Brathwaite was in praise for the leggie after the day's play.
"I thought the legspinner bowled well. He was consistent. The ball wasn't spinning big but he was very consistent in his line and length. He bowled well," said Brathwaite.
257 might look a bit low score on the pitch. Brathwaite, however, top-scored for the visitors with 85 runs and didn't want to complain about the pitch and condition. But he did admit the wicket was slow and reminded that they have to prepare themselves to play on this kind of wicket in the upcoming Test series.
"I wouldn't say it was difficult conditions. The guys bowled well. Obviously, the wicket was slow and low, to be honest. You really had to watch the ball for long. But it was going to happen," Brathwaite added.
Brathwaite hoped for a better second day and said his troops are ready for the challenge.
"We will be bowling on day two so the bowlers will have different plans. We look forward to the challenge tomorrow. Obviously, the BCB XI is accustomed to these conditions. We have to stick to our plans tomorrow, which should put us in a good position," he concluded.
