Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) have announced the squads for the forthcoming 13th South Asian (SA) Games starting December 1 in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Bangladesh Junior Kabaddi crew got warm reception for winning the bronze award in the Junior Kabaddi World Cup 2019 at Kish Island National Stadium in Iran.
Investigator General of Police and President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary announced the squads for the SA Games and gave certificates to the Junior Kabaddi crew in a function at the seminar hall of Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police and General Secretary of BKF Habibur Rahman and other BKF authorities were present on the event.
IGP Patwary said the incumbent executive committee of BKF is endeavouring to recover the lost brilliance of our national game Kabaddi. "We have several plans. We have decided to start a franchise based Kabaddi league and arrange long-term training sessions for our kabaddi players."
About the SA Games, the BKF President stated, "I trust our teams will do well there [SA Games]. We are seeking gold in the men's event."
Bangladesh Kabaddi crew will travel to Nepal on December 2.
