Tigers will be happy after Shakib and Liton remained unbeaten at the end of the day's play. They posted 242 runs on the board losing 5 wickets. 

Shakib is unbeaten on 39 and Liton is on 34. 

Warrican bagged 3 wickets to halt the Tigers' proceeding throughout the day. 

3:30 pm

Shakib and Mushfiq were going strong in their 59-run partnership before Warrican broke them apart. Warrican has been the pick of the bowlers with his 3 wickets. 

Mushfiqur Rahim departed after scoring 38 off 69 balls while Shakib remains unbeaten on 28.

Liton Kumar Das is the new man in.

Shadman Islam was trapped LBW by Jomel Warrican who picked up his second wicket of the innings. 

Tigers are suddenly struggling after losing 4 wickets for 140 runs on the board at tea break.
Mushfiqur Rahim is joined by Shakib Al Hasan and the rebuilding now completely depends on these two.

Shadman Islam picked up his second Test fifty and was building a rock-solid partnership with skipper Mominul Haque.

But that didn't last long. Mominul departed soon after his partner reached fifty. Jomel Warrican delivered for the Windies as he picked up Mominul caught at short mid-wicket. 

Bangladesh are 119 for 3 as Mushfiqur Rahim come to the crease.

1:10 pm

Skipper Mominul Haque and Shadman Islam slowly but steadily building a solid partnership and cruising towards a big total. 

The Tigers have gone past 100 after 44 overs. These two put on 33 runs in 15 overs post-lunch. 

Shadman is unbeaten on 42 and skipper Mominul is on 21. They both have been cautious in their approach so far. 

Windies bowlers finding it difficult to put Shadman and Mominul in trouble. 

11:30 am

And this is lunch!

The Tigers are 69 for 2. Tamim Iqbal was the first to go, he was clean bowled by Kemar Roach. Najmul Hossain Shanto then had a brainfade and departed for 25 off 58 balls. 

Skipper Mominul Haque joined Shadman Islam at the crease and saw through rest of the overs. He had a few close call at short leg, Shanon Gabriel's bouncers apparently made him uncomfortable. He made 2 off 19 deliveries. 

Opener Shadman Islam going comfortably. He bagged 33 of 82 balls so far. 

Bangladesh played 29 overs in the first session of the day. 

11 am

Bangladesh are slowly but steadily rebuilding after Tamim Iqbal departed early for 9 off 15. 

Shadman Islam is unbeaten on 31 off 59 balls while his partner Najmul Hossain Shanto is on 21 off 52.

Kemar Roach picked up the wicket of Tamim. 

Bangladesh are 61 for 1 after 21 overs. 

 

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first at Mirpur. Bangladesh are playing with only one pacer and four spinners in their playing eleven.
