BD vs WI: Bangladesh lose to magnificent Mayers
Mayers broke a number of records on his way to scoring double hundred in his maiden Test match.

Bangladesh lost by 3 wickets in the first Test match against Windies at ZACS, Chattogram. This is the highest successful run chase in Asia.
Magnificent Kyle Mayers bagged a record-breaking double hundred to seal the historic victory over the hosts. He was accompanied well by Bonner and Da Silva on his way.
Mayers broke a number of records on his way to scoring double hundred in his maiden Test match. He eventually remained unbeaten on 210 as he finished the game off by himself.
Bangladesh used only four bowlers throughout the innings and Shakib's absence did hurt them bad. Miraz bagged 4 in the innings while Taijul picked up a brace.
This loss will be a wake-up call for Bangladesh, that's for sure.

Kyle Mayers bagged double hundred on his Test debut, that too on the fourth innings of the test match. He has broken a number of record on his way.
Windies now need 10 runs from 6 overs to win the match.

Two quick wickets brought Bangladesh right into the game but there is still a long way to go.
Windies now need less than 90 runs to win from a minimum of 22 overs while the Tigers will need to bag all the remaining 5 wickets to win the match.
Mayers is batting on 137 who is joined by Joshua Da Silva at the crease.

Taijul trapped Bonner for an LBW and provided the much-needed breakthrough right after the tea break.
Bonner went back to the pavilion scoring 86 off 245 deliveries and the record partnership of 216 runs has been broken.
Bangladesh need 6 more wickets and Windies need 120 runs to win the Test match now.

Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner have built an unbeaten 202-run partnership and are still going strong. They are breaking records for fun here at ZACS.
They played 96 overs in the 4th innings and have lost only 3 wickets so far, that too on the fifth day, exactly opposite of what was being expected of the pitch. They need 129 more runs to win in the last session.
Kyle Mayers is unbeaten on 116 while Bonner is hunting for his maiden Test hundred, he is on 79. This is already the second-highest stand between two debutants in Test cricket.
Mayers became only the 8th batsman to score hundred on fourth innings as a debutant.

Bonner was finally gone, but only to survive through a DRS. But Mayers kept on going. He bagged his maiden Test hundred on debut. A solid Test hundred came off 178 balls for Mayers.
Windies are currently for 226 3 and going strong in the chase. Bangladeshi bowlers being unable to create pressure and enough wicket-taking chances even on day 5.
This Bonner-Mayers partnership is now the highest by debutants in the fourth innings of a Test match. The previous one was also recorded against the Tigers.

Windies are very much in the chase as they have successfully survived a wicketless session on day 5. Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner have kept their hopes well and truly alive.
They still need 198 more runs to win from 60-odd overs with 7 wickets in hand. Mayers and Bonner have put on an unbeaten 138-run partnership till lunch. Mayers is unbeaten on 91.
Bangladesh will be hurting, no doubt about that. They couldn't bowl as expected, no real chances created and missed on a few sure-shot review chances.
Tigers will desperately need quick wickets after lunch, or else Windies may well be getting away with the match.

Windies have begun day 5 steadily. They have scored 23 runs in the first 40 minutes so far and haven't lost any wicket.
Bangladeshi bowlers are looking for a breakthrough as soon as possible.
Nkrumah Bonner and Kyle Mayers have put up a 81-run unbeaten partnership and they do look solid.
