Dimuth Karunaratne scored his maiden double century with an unbeaten career-best innings of 202 runs from 387 deliveries. 

On the other end, Dhananjaya de Silva nears 150-mark with 143 runs of 266 balls. 

The hosts sit comfortably at 469/3. 

The pair has made the highest ever partnership in Pallekele stadium scoring 279 from 482 balls.

Karunaratne and Dhananjaya batted through two wicketless sessions into tea while Sri Lanka sits comfortably at 442 for 3.

Bangladesh's lead has now dwindled down to 99 runs. 

The pair formed a partnership of 252 runs from 434 balls. 

Dhananjaya scored 134 runs form 249 balls while Dimuth Karunaratne scored 184 facing 358 deliveries.

Dhananjaya de Silva has managed to convert his fifty to a timely ton as the visitors cruise smoothly to 382 at the cost of 3 wickets. 

Dhananjaya has scored 110 runs so far facing 165 deliveries. 

Meanwhile, Karunaratne has scored past 150 and looking stronger than ever. He managed to get 155 runs from 314 balls. 

Their partnership is eight runs short of the 200-mark.

Sri Lanka are cruising along after scoring past 300 without losing any more wickets at the end of the 101st over. 

Meanwhile, Dhananjaya de Silva has picked up his 9th Test fify. He has scored 71 runs from 125 deliveries. 

Dimuth Karunaratne is holding another end scoring 137 runs from 286 balls. 

Sri Lanka are currently on 326 for 3 and they trail by 215 runs.

Sri Lankan batter Dimuth Karunaratne picked up a steady 100 facing over 200 deliveries.

He has scored 101 runs from 250 balls after 87th over. It is his 11th Test Hundred.

Sri Lanka are currently on 257 for 3 and they trail by 284 runs.

Bangladesh will be looking for a few early wickets as they begin the fourth day in Kandy. 

Sri Lanka are currently on 242 for 3 after 81 overs and they still trail by 299 runs. 

Their skipper Dimuth Karunaratne is unbeaten on 95 and eyeing his 11th Test hundred. 

Ebadot and Taijul started the day from either end for Bangladesh.
