BCB increases match fee and allowances in NCL

The match fees, travel costs and daily allowance in the National Cricket League (NCL) have been increased following the players' demand for increments. Hotel accommodations, transportation and match day catering have also been increased substantially.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed the increase in all three sectors.

Match fees for the tier-one matches in the NCL has been increased by 71% to Tk 60,000 from Tk 35,000. The match fees has been doubled in the tier-two matches to Tk 50,000 from Tk 25,000.

Travelling by air has been ensured for the players but if there is no scope for that, players will receive Tk 3,500 as travel allowances.

Daily allowances has been increased to Tk 2,500 from Tk 1,500, marking an increment by 67%.

Also, hotel accomodations and matchday catering have been increased by 80% and 85% respectively.

Transport allocation has been increased to ensure air conditioned buses for team movements between hotel and venue.

All of these changes will be effective from the first round of the ongoing 21st NCL.

Even though the match fees has been increased, it does not meet the players' demands as the players asked for a minimum match fee of Tk 1,00,000.

This is the first of 13 demands from the players which the BCB has acted on, as they (BCB) already had said that some of the demands were already met or in process.
