BCB are following the instructions from the International Cricket Council (ICC) in their program of restarting their activities.

As the lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic is being loosened up throughout the country, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have also started preparing for the time after coronavirus. It does not matter when play returns, the BCB are planning on being ready to go at any moment.

BCB are following the instructions from the International Cricket Council (ICC) in their program of restarting their activities. As the first step of that, the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium is being cleaned up.

Cleaning up has been at work for some time now, it started before Eid in May. Even during the lockdown, the ground was attended to as BCB had facilitated the groundsmen to stay at BCB.

The field was always ready and now it is time for its surroundings. BCB's office, the dressing rooms, indoor facility and the academy are being cleaned up now.

They have not only been aware of the coronavirus but also the Dengue. Manager of BCB's grounds committee Syed Abdul Baten told The Business Standard (TBS) that disinfectants were regularly sprayed around BCB to keep it safe.

"We have been taking care of the field. We had facilitated the groundsmen to stay at BCB. They continued to look after the field. Now everything will be opened up and matches will return. So we are preparing for that according to the guidelines from ICC," Baten told TBS.

He also said about Dengue, "The cleaners are working on it. We have two issues - one is the coronavirus and one is the Dengue. We are aware of both. We have a committee about Dengue. They are doing the cleaning and spraying regularly. We are making sure that not a bit of water gets to hold up on the premises."

BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury also spoked about the ICC guidelines. He said, "This situation will come to an end and we will have to start our activities. We need to be prepared for that. Thus we are taking our preparation according to ICC guidelines. We are doing this ahead of time so that we are ready at any moment."

BCB have been following strict protocol during this process. Nobody from the outside is being allowed to enter the BCB and those who have been working in the process are being facilitated at the BCB.
