Bangladesh U-19 beat NZ U-19 in third match to seal series

Bangladesh U-19 now lead 3-0 in the five-match series.

Bangladesh U-19 have beaten New Zealand U-19 by eight wickets in the third match of the five-match series to gain an unassailable 3-0 lead. 

Winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Akbar Ali opted to bowl first. The young Bangladesh bowlers kept on picking up wickets in regular intervals but Fergus Lellman stayed unbeaten to score an unbeaten 116. New Zealand U-19 finished on 223-7 in their quota of 50 overs, with nobody else than Lellman getting a noticeable score. 

Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Avishek Das and Hasan Murad picked up a couple of wickets each with Shoriful Islam picking up the other. 

In reply, the young Tigers were in early trouble as opener Anik Sarker Shatu go out on one. But the other opener Tanzid Hasan put up a 90-run stand with Mahmudul Hasan Joy to steady the ship. Tanzid got out on 65 but Joy continued on his merry way along with Towhid Hridoy. Joy picked up his hundred whereas Hridoy picked up a fifty as Bangladesh reached the target with eight wickets and 79 balls in hand. Joy was unbeaten on 103 off 96 with Hridoy staying unbeaten on 51 off 59. 

Kristian Clarke and Adithya Ashok picked up a wicket each for the young blackcaps.

Joy was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten knock of 103. 

Earlier in the series, Bangladesh had beaten New Zealand by six wickets in both of the first two matches.
