Bangladesh say goodbye to Walsh
BCB has decided to not renew their contract with pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will not renew their contract with current Bangladesh team pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh.
The lackluster Bangladesh bowling performance in the World Cup has led to this decision from the BCB.
Walsh joined Bangladesh in August 2016 and his initial contract was till the 2019 World Cup.
The board seemed to be unsatisfied with his work till date, as the Bangladeshi pacers did not make any noticeable improvement during his time with the team.
High Performance (HP) team's coach Champaka Ramanayake is most likely to take charge of the pace bowling unit in the upcoming Sri Lanka series later this month.
The contract of team physio Tihan Chandramohan is also set to expire and not be renewed as many Bangladeshi players carried niggles throughout the World Cup.
