Bangladesh number one in CWC Super League

Bangladesh now have 50 points from the 8 matches they played in the Super League.

Bangladesh sealed their first-ever bilateral series win over Sri Lanka as they beat the visitors by 103 runs (D/L method). With this win, they have also climbed to the top of the ICC CWC Super League. 

Bangladesh now have 50 points from the 8 matches they played in the Super League. Pakistan, Australia and England are right behind them with 40 points to their name. 

Pakistan and Australia have played 6 matches so far for their 40 points while England have played 9 matches.

Bangladesh still have one more match in the series and the opportunity to take their lead further than the other three teams. 

The Tigers' net run rate is however on the lower side than the other three teams in the top four. Bangladesh sitting on top with a run rate of 0.285 while England, Pakistan and Australia have a net run rate of  0.468, 0.422 and 0.347 respectively. 

Sri Lanka sit in 12th position in the table having lost all 5 of their matches in the Super League so far with a point of -2 and NRR of -0.706.

The other teams in top 8 are - New Zealand, Afghanistan, West Indies and India - respectively. 

The top 8 team will directly qualify for the 2023 Cricket World Cup and the rest will have to play qualifiers.
