The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named an unchanged squad for the second Test that will begin on Thursday.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam are the only two frontline spinners in the squad.

Bangladesh played with three pacers in the first Test and head coach Russel Domingo hinted at doing the same thing again in the second Test as well.

"I would like to keep the same three going," he said during the virtual press brief on Wednesday.

"The first priority is to make all three play again. I want to be consistent in the selection and give the guys a fair crack as possible, to perform at Test-level. I think Taskin has played seven, Rahi has maybe played 18 Tests. They are very inexperienced, so the more opportunity we can give them, the better for them."

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium will host the final league stage match of World Test Championship 2019-21.

Bangladesh have already bagger their first WTC points after drawing the first Test in which batters dominated but this also ensured they will finish the WTC being in the bottom of the table.

Bangladesh squad for second Test:

Mominul Haque (Captain), Litton Kumer Das, Md Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal Khan, Shadman Islam, Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi, Taijul Islam, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Mohammed Saif Hassan, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam.
