The latest ODI ranking sees Bangladesh on seventh as India has dethroned England to claim top spot.

Bangladesh have moved to seventh spot on the recent ODI rankings with a rating of 92, whereas India have dethroned England from the top spot.

Bangladesh were eighth in the ODI rankings published just before the World Cup, falling behind West Indies by one point. There were controversies about the calculation, but the recent update has fixed that problem and now Bangladesh have moved back to seventh. Bangladesh have a total points of 3,755 in 41 matches, and thus have generated a rating point of 92. Pakistan are just ahead of Bangladesh with a rating of 96, as they got a massive boost from their victories against higher ranked England and New Zealand.

India have dethroned England from the top spot as England lost two matches against lower ranked Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India currently have a rating of 123, whereas the English have a rating of 122. West Indies have dropped to the ninth spot with a rating of 77 as Sri Lanka has climbed up to eighth with a rating of 78.

Bangladesh have at least two matches remaining in the World Cup, which are against India and Pakistan. Two wins from two will provide the Tigers with a massive boost in rating, which might take them to a record sixth place.
