Chasing a target of 107, Bangladesh U-19 were bowled out for 101.

Bangladesh U-19 have been defeated by India U-19 by six runs in the final of the U-19 Asia Cup.

Batting first, India U-19 were bowled out for only 106 as the young Bangladesh bowlers put on a show.  In reply, Bangladesh's batsmen crumbled in a similar fashion as they lost wickets in regular intervals and ended up five runs short.

India U-19 skipper Dhruv Jurel won the toss and elected to bat first. But they kept on losing wickets as the young Bangladeshi bowlers put in an impressive display. The Indians were bowled out for 106 as only three Indian batsmen scored double-digit scores, with Karun Lal top-scoring with 37. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Shamim Hossain picked up three wickets each, with Tanzim Hasan Shakib and Shahin Alam picked up a wicket each.

Chasing a meager 107, the Bangladeshi top-order crumbled like a cardhouse. In no time, Bangladesh U-19 were 16-4. Skipper Akbar Ali put up small partnerships with Shahadat Hossain, Shamim Hossain, and Mrittunjoy, before perishing as the seventh wicket. Mrittunjoy returned right after his skipper, but Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rakibul Hasan took Bangladesh very close to the target. But an umpiring error led toTanzim's wicket and Bangladesh U-19 ended up losing by five runs.

Atharva Ankolekar was adjudged Man of the Match for his five-wicket haul.
