Bangladesh are in a very comfortable position at Tea of the third day of their one-off Test against Zimbabwe as the Tigers are ahead by 177 runs.

Bangladesh managed to pile up another 91 runs in the second session as Mushfiqur Rahim is unbeaten on 143 and Liton Das keeping him company on 9.

After a wicketless first session, Zimbabwe managed to nick off a couple in the second as Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque and Mohammad Mithun was sent back. Mominul brought up his ninth Test hundred and his first as skipper but could not make it big. He gave a return catch to Ainsley Ndlovu and went back for 132.

Mohammad Mithun did not last long at the crease as he was caught behind off Ndlovu for 17. Mithun reviewed the umpire's decision immediately but replays showed that he had indeed edged it and had to go.

Mushfiq and Liton played out the remaining overs without any more casualties. Bangladesh will look forward to accelerating in the last session of the day and with forecasts predicting rain, they will need to ensure that they have enough overs in hand to bowl Zimbabwe out.
