Bangladesh will play their round two match of the joint qualifier for the Qatar World Cup 2022 and China AFC Asia Cup 2023 away at Oman in mid-November.

Bangladesh announce preliminary squad for Oman clash

Bangladesh have announced their preliminary squad for the qualifier match against Oman on the 14th of November. 

Bangladesh will play their round two match of the joint qualifier for the Qatar World Cup 2022 and China AFC Asia Cup 2023 away at Oman in mid-November. 

The notable absentee in the team is the star defender of the team Topu Barman, who is still out injured. The 23-man squad otherwise consists of players who were included for Bangladesh's match against India, which they managed to draw. 

Bangladesh have lost two and drawn one of their three games in the joint qualifiers. They lost their first two matches to Afghanistan and Qatar but managed to secure a draw against India at the Saltlake Stadium in Kolkata.

Goalkeepers: Ashraful Islam Rana, MD Sahidul Alam, Anisur Rahman 

Defenders: MD Rayhan Hasan, MD Tutul Hosain Badsha, Bishwanath Ghosh, MD Rahmat Mia, MD Yeasin Khan, Riyadul Hasan, Yeasin Arafat

Midfielders: Biplo Ahmed, Jamal Bhuyan ©, Saad Uddin, Sohel Rana, MD Mamunul Islam Mamun, Mohammad Rabiul Hasan

Forwards: Mohammad Nabib Newaz Ziban, Mahbubur Rahman, Tawhidul Alam Sabuz, Md Matin MIah, Mohammad Ibrahim, Mohammad Arifur Rahman, Rakib Hossain
