He also became the first-ever Bangladeshi to qualify on P1 in any international Motorsports event.

Avik Anwar became the first Bangladeshi to win UAE Pro Championship GT86 Class. Avik is the first Bangladeshi to win in an international motorsports event with success in India, Malaysia & UAE.

Avik, surprisingly, dedicated his championship to cricketer Tamim Iqbal. Tamim and Avik's friendship goes way back.
Tamim apparently joked with Avik back in 2017. Avik dedicated his championship to Tamim Iqbal through a Facebook post.
"Let me tell you a story, I am friends with an awesome cricketer who goes by the name of Tamim Iqbal, he told me one day back in 2017 'bhai ato race kore laab ki jiten na toh'. After I won my first race in 2019 I called him and he was so proud but I couldn't dedicate the win to him. But today I dedicate my race win to him. I have won again for Bangladesh and I am the only person to win 1st place trophies for my country in international motorsports. UAE done, the world is my oyster. Alhamdulillah for everything, joy bangla!" - Avik posted.

He is now preparing for race 2.
