All cricketers test negative in second Covid-19 test

On Friday, 18 September, 18 players had undergone Covid-19 tests as part of the second phase. All have reported negative for Covid-19, according to the media and communication department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Ahead of Bangladesh's upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, the cricketers, as well as the coaching staff, are supposed to undergo four rounds of Covid-19 screening. In the first phase, opening batsman Saif Hassan and trainer Nicholas Lee tested positive for Covid-19. Though Lee has come round, Saif Hassan is yet to test negative.

On Friday, 18 September, 18 players had undergone Covid-19 tests as part of the second phase. All have reported negative for Covid-19, according to the media and communication department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

However, the Sri Lanka tour is currently in doubt because of the disagreement over the quarantine period and an official announcement may come very soon.
