123 the target for Bangladesh to win gold

Bangladesh U-23 have been set a target of 123 in their pursuit of gold in the men's cricket event of the 13th South Asian (SA) Games as Sri Lanka was bowled out for 122.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto invited the Lankans to bat first. Sri Lanka U-23, who dominantly won the group stage match against Bangladesh U-23 by nine wickets, had a good start to the game but kept on losing wickets in the middle overs to bundle out for only 122 in their quota of 20 overs.

Hasan Mahmud was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh as he picked up three wickets with Tanvir Islam picking up two. Sumon Khan and Mahedi Hasan picked up a wicket each.
