"We are going to see a new country," said Ma after coming home from office one day. I replied, "Wow."

"The country is called Tanzania and it is in Africa," Ma said, adding, "A continent consists of several countries."

This is an excerpt from the children's illustrated book titled "Tanzaniar Dipe" written by popular actor and development worker Rafiath Rashid Mithila.

The book will take young readers on an adventure in the island in Tanzania with Mithila and her daughter - Ayra.

The book is part of an adventure book series called "Ayra aar Maaer Obhijaan", where Mithila and Ayra learn new things about life, friendship and values.

"Tanzaniar Dipe" encapsulates the personal journey of the mother-daughter duo. As young readers turn the pages, they will become a part of the journey which takes place in different places of Tanzania.

Presented from Ayra's point of view, the book explores their travels and adventures while simply explaining the meaning of islands and continents to the young readers.

In the book, Ayra learns and experiences many new things throughout their journey. Ayra gets to eat Changu fish, which is mostly found in East Africa. She also learns how to conquer her fear of water. Most importantly, Ayra grows closer to her mother while creating precious memories during the trip.
The book conveys important messages to children aged between five to 10 through illustrations. It is a book that will help children nurture an adventurous mindset and have a positive outlook on life.
The tale is filled with laughter, memories, fun and adventure. Written in Bangla, the book has 42 pages of vibrant illustrations that depicts the landscape of Tanzania.
The second book in the series will be about a safari adventure with wild animals in Tanzania.

Published by Light of Hope, "Tanzaniar Dipe" was launched on March 27 at this year's Ekushey Boi Mela.

Illustrated by Mohaimenul Rakib Nitol, the main characters - Ayra and Maa - are sketches of the mother-daughter duo.

The book can be bought from the website of ToguMogu for Tk270.
