Sabrina Carpenter announces surprise next album
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has revealed that her next album, 'Man's Best Friend', will arrive this August — just a year after her breakout success with 'Short n' Sweet'.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the news alongside provocative cover art showing her kneeling in black stilettos, held by a man gripping her hair. "i can't wait for it to be yours x," she wrote in the caption.
Set for release on 29 August, the album will feature 12 tracks, including the cheeky lead single 'Manchild.' The country-pop track — created with frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen — is already gaining traction and eyeing a debut on the 'Billboard Hot 100'. In it, Carpenter calls out immature men with sharp wit, singing: "Never heard of self-care / Half your brain just ain't there."
Man's Best Friend follows the huge success of 'Short n' Sweet', which spawned hits like 'Espresso,' 'Taste,' and the chart-topping "Please Please Please." That album earned her a Billboard 200 No 1 and cemented her status as a full-blown pop star. Fans won't have to wait long to hear what she's cooked up next.
