OTT platform ‘iTheatre’ to debut with Shakib Khan’s film

Bangladeshi OTT platform iTheatre will debut with Dhallywood superstar Shakin Khan's film 'Nabab LLB.' The film will be launched on the platform on December 16. This is the first time any of Shakib Khan's film is being released on an OTT platform. 

The official trailer of the film was released on the YouTube channel of iTheatre on December 7. 

iTheatre managing director and director of the film, Anonno Mamun, told The Business Standard, "Besides the film, iTheatre is also waiting to launch." 

Two more films by the same director,  titled, 'Psycho' and 'Makeup', will be released on the streaming platform. 

He added, " Viewers can buy tickets on the app to watch any film. For example, subscribers can purchase tickets worth Tk100 for a month, and watch films any time. There is also a yearly subscription option as well."

Talking about the app, he said, "The number of cinema halls is decreasing day by day in our country, and the existing ones are in bad condition. Considering all these issues, we took this initiative so that our films reach the audiences."

"And viewers who live abroad can watch our films as well through the platform."

Subscribers can also watch music videos and web series on iTheatre. And anybody can release their films on the platform after discussing with the authorites as well. 

Anonno Mamun further informed, "Already, we have got more than 20k subscribers on the platform and the number is increasing day by day."

With the tagline 'Entertainment on every click,' the platform will release a new film every month. 

The cast of 'Nabab LLB' includes Shakib Khan, Mahiya Mahi, Sporshia, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Sushama Sarkar, Sumon, among others.
