Over time, she built a steady following, with audiences responding warmly to her screen presence. In her statement, the actress wrote, "After four beautiful years in the media, I've decided to stop. It's been an incredible journey; one I'll always be grateful for." She explained that she has found peace in her deen, in self-reflection and learning, and in the company of people she considers home. As she continues to prioritise her education and personal growth, she said this phase of her life feels like the right place to be.
Clarifying her decision, Nawba added that there will be no new work from her in television dramas, TV commercials or OTT platforms. While some previously completed projects may still be released, she said she will no longer be connected to them.
Throughout her career, she appeared in several popular dramas, including Chupi Chupi, Mitthe Kabber Ful, Amar Thikana Tumi, Prothom Preme Banan Bhul, Mayapuran and Shudhu Tumi. She also received praise for her role in Mizanur Rahman Aryan's Punormilone, a Chorki web film that helped broaden her audience beyond television.
Nawba Tahiya had earlier taken short breaks from acting to focus on her studies, but this announcement marks her final farewell to showbiz.
